Getting pregnant is often not as easy as one would think. Ovulation problems, endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome are just some of the problems women encounter which prevents them from conceiving.

Once intercourse takes place, try lifting your hips for a while in order to help the semen get close to the cervix. Getting up and walking around may cause leakage of the semen, reducing your chances of conception.

Lose Weight
Being overweight can affect your chances of becoming pregnant. Altering your eating habits can often have a profound effect upon your health and your fertility problems.

Fast foods and sugary drinks are bad for anyone, but particularly for women who want to lose weight in order to increase their chances of conception.

Fresh fruit, vegetables and any foods high in vitamins and minerals, will help you to reduce weight, and give you more energy to exercise and start creating a healthier lifestyle for yourself. Reduce your intake of white bread, cakes, biscuits and sweets, and replace them with nuts, celery and raw vegetables.

Medication can impair your chances of conception, whether taken by the woman or the man. Caffeine, high alcohol intake and smoking can contribute to infertility in both sexes. Always discuss this with your physician who will be able to give you advice.

Exercise
Exercise plays a big part in your health regime. It stimulates your blood flow and strengthens your body. A healthy body is more likely to become pregnant and produce a healthy infant.

Exercise doesn’t have to be too strenuous. Swimming, walking, riding a bike are all good exercises which will stimulate your mental powers and improve the health of your heart, lungs, skin, eyes and other tissues of the body.
